We were recommended by a builder to a couple in Esher who had received planning permission for a two storey side extension and external renovation work to their detached property. The client wanted a detailed Schedule of Work pricing document to capture all aspects of the build to include details of other work they wanted carrying out on the property. We visited the house to discuss the scheme with the clients and made extensive notes and recommendations. Following this we produced the pricing document which was issued to the builder for pricing. The benefit of the Schedule of Works is in the detail and break down of each section which reduces the opportunity for work items to be missed at pricing stage. The spreadsheet can then be used as a reference document during the job to calculate builder payments and provide better cost control.
