Sustainability shouldn’t be an afterthought!

Sustainability works best when it’s built in from the start. On recent projects, we made renewable energy a core part of the design, allowing us to seamlessly integrate clean technologies into the project and build programme.

By bringing our trusted M&E and Renewable Energy Consultant in at pre-construction we were able to:

• Optimise the roof layout for photovoltaic (PV) solar panels and include in the planning application
• Incorporate battery storage for energy resilience and locate these in a purpose built ‘plant room’
• Design and pre-plan a ground source heat pump system, including a 300m piling scheme which was installed ahead of the main build to avoid access complications

Proactive planning like this ensures renewable energy solutions are considered holistically, from site layout and plant equipment locations to roof orientation and programme sequencing.

The result? Efficient, high-performing homes and buildings that are future-ready and environmentally responsible.

💡 Sustainability starts at the design stage and the earlier it’s considered, the smoother the integration into the build.
